Great Lakes Industrial Development and Empowerment (GLIDE) is an Industrial Training and Research Institute dedicated to transforming communities through skills development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and research. GLIDE is an innovation of the Countryside Innovations Network (CIN), a social enterprise established in 2008 to promote sustainable community development and economic empowerment.
At GLIDE, we believe that education should be practical, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of society. Our training programs are designed to equip learners with industry-relevant competencies, entrepreneurial skills, and innovative thinking that enable them to create employment opportunities and contribute meaningfully to national development.
Through hands-on learning, research, mentorship, and partnerships, GLIDE nurtures individuals, groups, and communities to become productive, self-reliant, and innovative. Our programs support the development of prosperous, smarter, and greener communities across Uganda and beyond.
